The Anubias Nana Coin, is a stunning Anubias variety hailing from Africa, it is still relatively new in the hobby.
Appearance
Anubias Nana Coin is a slow-growing, compact plant that thrives in smaller aquariums. This hardy plant features striking, coin-shaped leaves that measure 3 to 4 cm. When the leaves first emerge, they have a brownish-red hue, transforming into a lush dark green as they mature. It typically reaches a height of about 15 cm.
Lighting
Anubias Nana Coin does well in low light conditions and will grow well even when shaded by other plants.
Planting
One key aspect to note is its creeping rhizome, which must remain uncovered when planted; burying it can lead to rot and ultimately the demise of your plant. With its unique round leaves and vibrant green color, Anubias Nana Coin adds a distinctive visual appeal to any aquarium setup.
Fertilising
This variety prefers low to moderate light and can thrive without CO₂ injection, although providing additional nutrients or CO₂ can enhance its growth.
Safe for both fish and shrimp, the tough leaves of Anubias Nana Coin are less enticing to herbivorous species, making it a great choice for community tanks.
