Hooker Moss, scientifically known as Hookeriaceae, is a beautiful, unique and rare aquarium moss that captivates planted aquarium enthusiasts with its distinctive upward growth pattern, resembling a delicate stem plant. 

Growth & appearance

This moss is characterized by its slower growth rate, which means you'll find yourself needing to perform less frequent trimming, making it ideal for those who prefer low-maintenance aquatic plants. 

As Hooker Moss matures, its fronds elegantly branch out, creating a lush, vibrant carpet that enhances the aesthetic appeal of any aquarium. Its vertical growth not only adds visual interest but also serves an essential function in the aquatic ecosystem.

Care and planting 

This moss provides ample cover and increased surface area, making it a fantastic habitat for shrimp and fry, offering them the protection they need to thrive. However, it's important to note that Hookeriaceae is quite sensitive to environmental conditions. For optimal growth and health, maintain the water temperature below 24°c and ensure that the pH level remains at 7.5 or lower.  We recommend tying this moss to wood or rock, strands will shoot out vertical growth.
