"Christmas tree moss" is a special type of moss from Brazil that typically grows to a height of 1-3 cm. It gets its name from the unique structure of its side branches, which resemble the branches of a fir tree, distinguishing it from the more common Vesicularia dubyana. This moss is more demanding and grows more slowly than ordinary Java moss. It readily attaches to roots and stones, and as it spreads in the water, it requires regular pruning to maintain an attractive shape.
