Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' has also entered the trade with the label 'Mini Mini' in recent times. This selection of the Dwarf Anubias looks very similar to 'Petite', however, under the same growth conditions, its ovate leaves stay a little smaller. The leaf blade gets about 18 mm long and 10 mm wide, the petiole about 10 mm. The Bonsai Anubias is as undemanding and robust as the considerably bigger wild type, A. barteri var. nana. It is ideally suited for the hardscape of nano tanks and also provides interesting possibilities for bigger aquariums.
