Aquaflora Bucephalandra Catharina
This is a small, narrow-leaved Bucephalandra, known as "Catarina," While its name suggests a link to Bucephalandra catherineae, its exact species affiliation is unclear. All Bucephalandra plants are native to Borneo, where they thrive as rheophytes on rocks in stream flood zones. Bucephalandra sp. "Catarina" features horizontal rhizomes that are around 5 cm long and 2 mm thick. The elongated leaves grow to about 5 cm long and 0.7 cm wide, displaying a wavy margin. In submerged conditions, the leaves turn dark olive-green to brown-red, while new leaves appear light brown-orange. Over time, the plant forms a dense cluster, reaching 5 cm in height and 18 cm in width.
