Mangrove Root Large 40-60cm

Derived from the mangrove tree, these stubby roots create a beautiful, organic look in the aquarium. The wood is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, providing hiding spots for fish and invertebrates, helping to mimic the natural environment of coastal and brackish water habitats.

The wood may release tannins, which can slightly tint the water, adding a natural, earthy hue that is reminiscent of tropical ecosystems. This can also help lower the pH of the water, making it ideal for species that thrive in more acidic conditions.

Tannins can easily be removed with big water changes or the use of charcoal or seachem purigen in the filter.

Mangrove is  also a great choice for large terrariums and bioactive setups for various reptiles, frogs or lizards.
