ADA Drop Checker
To monitor the CO2 level in your aquarium, you can use a special instrument called a Drop Checker. It is made of glass and is specifically designed for this purpose. To use it, first add a few drops of pH reagent and some aquarium water into the Drop Checker. Then, carefully place the instrument inside your aquarium. The color of the solution inside the Drop Checker will change based on the CO2 levels, providing you with an indication of the water's CO2 concentration. This can help you ensure that the CO2 levels in your aquarium are at an optimal level for your aquatic plants and inhabitants.
In case the reagent turns yellow from the beginning, due to the low pH value in the aquarium, the reagent color does not change even after adding further CO2. In such a case, please make a water change for raising pH level, and make sure the reagent turns blue or green before resetting Drop Checker in the aquarium.
