This variety is favoured for its low maintenance needs. Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia thrives in low to moderate light conditions, making it well-suited for a variety of aquarium setups. It prefers stable water parameters with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 and temperatures between 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F).

Due to its slow growth rate, patience is key when cultivating this plant. It is recommended to attach the rhizome to rocks or driftwood rather than burying it in substrate, as this can lead to rot.
