Catappa leaves, sourced from Indian Almond Trees (Terminalia catappa), are excellent for replicating natural environments for Bettas, shrimp, and other aquarium inhabitants.

When introduced to an aquarium, these leaves release tannins and other organic compounds that help lower the pH and subtly tint the water. This creates conditions similar to those found in habitats with acidic water and abundant leaf litter.
