ADA Rotala macrandra sp. Mini

It produces small, narrow, slightly wavy leaves that can develop vibrant red hues when provided with strong lighting. The stems grow upright and densely packed with leaves.
How to use Rotala macrandra sp. Mini
Rotala macrandra sp. Mini looks its best when grouped together in the midground of an aquarium. Its small leaves also make it ideal for nano tanks. We find it looks best if you use it more heavily on one side of the tank and then lesser in the opposite side, but ensuring it is on both sides makes it look more natural.
Plant Maintenance
The 'Mini' form is somewhat demanding. It requires strong lighting, CO2 supplementation, and regular nutrient dosing via the water column. As with other stem plants, it can be propagated by stem cuttings.
Emersed Growth
Macrandra 'mini' just like the normal variety can be grown emersed however it may not display the vibrant reds that it develops underwater, and the leaves stay smaller and more compact. It needs high humidity to remain healthy.
