Alternanthera Reineckii Mini

also known as AR mini

Alternanthera reineckii mini is a beautiful red aquarium plant, a smaller version of other Alternanthera aquarium plant species. Although a low grower reaching a height of around 10cm, in our experience it can become quite wide, when planting we recommend giving it a 5cm diameter gap around to avoid overshadowing other plants, unless you want to use it for this purpose. High light and CO2 injection is recommended to keep those lush purple/pink colours, although there are some who have managed to keep with plant without CO2 injection. 

Something we have experienced is that Amano shrimp sometimes like the taste of Alternanthera aquarium plants, so we advise to avoid using Amano shrimp in an aquascape with this plant
