ADA Rotala rotundifolia
Rotala rotundifolia is a pastel pink stem plant originating from southeast Asia, it is one of the easier to grow rotala species, suitable for use in the background of your aquarium. Stems can reach to 30cm plus and with higher lighting the more pinkish, red this plant will become.
How to Use Rotala rotundifolia
Rotala rotundifolia is best used as a background aquarium plant, although it can also work nicely in the midground of a larger aquascape, plant each single stem or a few at a time in the area you would like it to flourish.
Plant Maintenance
Being a stem plant you will need to trim this as it becomes to tall for your aquascape. We recommend cutting back and leaving it with around 2-3 inches of healthy plant, this gives you a long cutting to re-plant.
Growing emersed
Rotala rotundifolia can grow out of the water but will need a high humidity area, we recommend planting just below water level and allow new growth to immerse itself.
