ADA Pogostemon erectus

Pogostemon Erectus features dense clusters of vibrant green, conifer-like stems that reach heights of 20 cm and widths of 1-3 cm. The plant has a very thick stem but the leaves are very fine and delicate. It adds a bright freshness to the background of your scape.

It's worth noting that it is also known as  Pogostemon deccanensis

This plant works well as a background plant and serves as an excellent focal point whether displayed alone or in larger arrangements. 

Plant Maintenance

To maintain an optimal appearance, they thrive in environments with intense light, which helps to promote compact growth. With a moderate growth rate and robust root systems, they require regular maintenance. To encourage bushy growth and a compact shape, frequent pruning is essential. After a while, you may need to replant healthy tops and disregard the lower portions to prevent leggy growth. 

Emersed Growth

This plant when grown emersed produced beautiful purple cone shaped flowers, it does require high humidity to start and frequent spraying for it to become established out of water, when left it will happily grow out of the aquarium.
