ADA Hydrocotyle verticillata
Hydrocotyle verticillata, an intriguing aquatic plant from the ADA collection, provides a unique look to any aquarium. Characterised by its distinctive umbrella-shaped leaves, this plant originates from the wetlands of North and South America. Its eye-catching look and lush green hue make it a favoured choice for aquascaping enthusiasts seeking to enhance the elegance and natural beauty of their underwater planted aquarium.
How to Use
At Horizon, we tend to use this plant amongst carpeting plants like Monte Carlo, as it produces runners and pops up throughout. It also looks great when used as a midground plant.
Plant Maintenance
Rather than cutting with aquarium scissors we rather pinch and pull away any old or yellowing leaves.
Growing Emersed
Hydrocotyle verticillata emersed produces larger thicker leaves, it will also produce small white clusters of flowers.
