ADA Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Green'

This popular and attractive variety of Cryptocoryne Wendtii is native to Sri Lanka, and the 'Green' form is especially admired for its vibrant, rich green foliage. The plant features elongated, slightly wavy leaves that maintain their lush green colour even as they mature. The stems and rhizomes often take on a brownish  hue, adding to its natural appeal.

How to use Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Green'

Cryptocoryne Wendtii Green has a compact growth habit, typically reaching a height of 10 - 20cm, making it a great choice for nano aquariums or smaller setups. 

Plant Maintenance

Unlike some other varieties, it rarely propagates via runners, making it more manageable.The plant grows at a moderate pace and is quite adaptable, thriving even in low light conditions. However, when placed under brighter lighting, it tends to produce a more compact growth pattern. This versatile and low-maintenance plant is an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists.

Emersed Growth

Crypts such as this can be grown emersed quite easily and maintain a similar appearance out of water, they must be kept moderately humid.
